About Us – Potted History of EasyPlay.Vegas
EasyPlay.Vegas in 2004
EasyPlay.Vegas was started in August 2004. OCR is an online casino portal committed to featuring reviews of Online Casinos and Casino Games, with all the casinos that feature on the site licensed in reputable territories. Thus players can be assured of fairness, fast payouts and excellent customer service.
Dave Sawyer of Bath Rock Media Limited was formerly based in the offshore online gaming capital of Gibraltar for six years before relocating to Bath, England, in October 2006.
Dave is the main individual behind EasyPlay.Vegas and has been working in the Online Gambling Industry for going on some 16 years now.
The purpose of EasyPlay.Vegas during this time has not changed though during the years. With fairplay, great games and enjoyment being the key to being listed on the site.
Sixteen Years Experience in the iGaming Industry
EasyPlay.Vegas in 2005
Dave has in excess of 16 year’s experience working in the online gambling industry. Five of those years were working for Ladbrokes International in Gibraltar.
Between the years 2002 – 2005 Dave headed up the IT Department of Ladbrokes’ eGaming arm, repsonsible for the day to day operation of Ladbrokes Online Poker Room and Ladbrokes Casino in Gibraltar.
Now working for Bath Rock Media of which he is Managing Director, Dave has built up a solid reputation in the industry. In April 2007, Dave was on the popular ‘Beer Forum Panel’ at the Casino Affiliate Convention in Amsterdam.
In 2011, Dave appeared on the forum panel at the London Affiliate Conference, alongside other industry veterans, such as Michael Corfman from Casino City and JTodd of the APCW.
In addition to this, Dave is also an administrator on the popular CasinoMeister Forum where he goes by the username Webzcas.
2016 Sees Launch of OCR YouTube Channel
March 2016 saw the first major redesign of EasyPlay.Vegas in some three years. As part of the overhaul of the site, this saw the launch of our own dedicated video channel on YouTube.
An introduction to the OCR YouTube Channel, providing a brief overview can be viewed to the left.
The EasyPlay.Vegas Channel enables us to provide videos for all the free play slot games and reviews that we feature on the site.
In addition, from time to time we will also be featuring video reviews of some of the casinos which are featured and recommended on OCR.
Moving with the Times – Several Redesigns
As you can probably imagine, during the past 10 years, OCR has undergone several redesigns. Of which screenshots of the site’s various incarnations can be viewed on this page. The iGaming industry has mushroomed into a multi billion dollar industry during this time.
However, alas the same pitfalls for players that existed back in 2004, do still prevail now in 2016. Whilst the games on offer now are light years ahead of the offerings that were available in 2004 ( Many of which are still around! ), where there is money to be made, unfortunately there is still a very clear ‘ROGUE’ element that lingers in the industry.
EasyPlay.Vegas is first and foremost a casino review site, but this does not mean or require that we list any and all online casinos. Indeed at this current time, we currently only recommend a total of 27 online casino properties.
Indeed there are some noticeable absences from our current recommended casinos which are reviewed on OCR. Some of these ‘top brand’ casinos were at some stage listed and recommended, but for various reasons they have been removed. As we continually monitor and review the online casinos that we vouch for.
Reasons for a casinos removal are numerous, but can include issues with payments, a downturn of customer support and also invoking new clauses concerning the use and play of bonuses advertised.
Each and every one of these casinos though have been personally tested, offer great games, quick withdrawals and superb player support. Should a casino operate withdrawal limits, these will be noted clearly in the review of said casino.
Another major function of EasyPlay.Vegas is to provide our visitors with the ability to try out many of the numerous games that can be found at an online casino for free on OCR. Without the need to leave the site and register an account at an online casino.
