Aspers Casino – Stratford, London

Aspers Casino in Stratford City, London is the best UK Casino for those of you that are fans of slot machines. Arguably the largest casino in the UK in terms of floor space, Aspers which is a stones throw from the Olympic ( London ) Stadium, boasts more slot machines than any other casino in the UK.

The video on this page is a discreet walk thru I filmed when visiting Aspers the day after seeing Guns N Roses at the London Stadium in June 2017.

Obviously no photography is allowed inside a casino, so apologies in advance for the quality of the footage. However, what it does do is give you a good idea of the actual size of the casino floor, along with the number of slot machine cabinets available to play at.

Open 24/7, 365 days a year. Aspers Casino which is located within the massive Westfield Shopping Complex, was opened at the end of October 2011. In time for the anticipated footfall that was to occur during the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, with the Olympic Park literally just a few yards away.

Aspers Membership

Aspers offers membership to all visitors, which is certainly worth considering, especially if you like to gamble quite a bit. Loyalty points are awarded for every bet you make on the slots or other betting cabinets. With the points then being used to buy food or drink at the bar and restaurant.

Roof Terrace

Aspers has several roof terraces which can be used for those who wish to smoke or vape, as smoking is prohibited within the casino due to UK law. The roof terraces are adorned with comfy seating and also are covered from the elements should it rain. If unlike when I visited, it is cold there are also outdoor heaters to take the chill away.

Furthermore if you wish to gamble and smoke whilst on the roof terrace, this is facilitated by the positioning of a couple of roulette cabinets.

Sky Bar

If you just want to visit Aspers to chill out and kick back and have a drink or two, then the Sky Bar is a great option. It certainly was for us when leaving the London Stadium and avoiding the mass of crowds after seeing Guns N Roses. Surprisingly for a Saturday night it was also the ONLY place open at 11pm where we could get a drink.

The Sky Bar also from time to time hosts live music and bands and also the odd game of bingo was also underway when we visited on the Sunday afternoon, when the girls were hitting the plastic in the Westfield Shopping Centre.

Location

The location of Aspers is the only drawback as far as I can tell, as Stratford is well out of the way. If you think London Excel is out of the way, then Aspers and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is even further.

From Central London, expect a 45 minute journey of a mixture of Underground and Docklands Light Railway.

Summary

Being a fan of slots, Aspers has to be my favourite casino in the Capital. However, it’s location means that I tend not to visit too often. As per the majority of UK Casinos, you do not have to be a member to visit Aspers. Although the benefits of Asper’s Membership make it worthwhile signing up.

As per all Land Based UK Casinos, make sure you bring ID in the form of a driving license or passport, should you be fortunate enough to hit a big win, as this will be required to enable you to cash out.
