Following hot on the heels of the most excellent Planet of the Apes Slot Machine from NetEnt as well as games from the likes of Yggdrasil Gaming, Microgaming, WMS and Playtech.

Finn is depicted as an Irish Leprechaun and this game is not the first to use such a character. Ash Gaming’s Leprechaun’s Luck being one such slot.

Abundance of Features

First off I don’t think this review will do Finn and the Swirly Spin the justice it really deserves. The very first thing that is apparent when the game opens is that it doesn’t utilise the usual reels, rows and paylines that we as slot players have become accustomed to.

So how does it work then? Well all reels flow in a swirl, hence the name of the slot ‘Swirly Spin’, but this change is actually excellent. It is something new for the player to get to grips with and is a welcome move away from the standard play of slot machines.

As NetEnt the developers of the slot themselves state: “But most importantly there’s an exciting new spin mechanic with this game: symbols do not land in the standard way but will follow a spiral pattern starting at the outside corner and ending in the center position.”

Using 5 reels and 5 rows, Finn and the Swirly Spin offers up to four free spin bonus rounds plus a random bonus feature, which also has four differing variations.  Below are a list of the features on offer.

Like I stated above, this review does not do this slot justice. But I feel that it will prove popular with players. The effects, graphics and animation are top notch and the gameplay so far has not been found wanting.

Therefore my first impressions of Finn and the Swirly Spin is very favourable. Hence the the percentage scores I have awarded. But remember, these are subjective!
