Online Casino Software Providers

As you can probably imagine, there are a multitude of companies who provide the software platforms for the hundreds if not thousands of  casinos  to be found on the internet.

On this page you will find information concerning all the big players in the industry who are responsible for providing the games for the online casinos we recommend on EasyPlay.Vegas.

Whilst extensive, the number of casino software companies listed on this page is continually growing, as more software companies enter the iGaming Industry.

Many of the companies that made their name in land based environments, now also provide their games for use online.

All of the casinos which we feature and recommend on OCR carry games providers by the companies listed below:

Microgaming

Microgaming

Microgaming Software is one of the most popular online casino software manufacturers amongst both players and operators alike.

Established in 1994, Microgaming also powered the Net’s first online casino, The Gaming Club, and today powers over 150 online casinos. Including the multiple award winning 32Red.

Microgaming’s  Casino Software platform features in excess of 600  games, including classic table games such as blackjack, baccarat, roulette, craps as well as newer table games like Pai Gow Poker, Cyberstud Poker (Caribbean Stud Poker), and Poker Ride (Let ‘Em Rid).

The casino product offering from Microgaming also features arguably the Net’s most popular video poker games such as Jacks or Better, Aces and Faces, and Deuces Wild.

Microgaming are also responsible for many of the slot games which we feature within our own Online Slots Guide.

Playtech

Playtech

Playtech Casino Software powers some of the most respected names in the online gaming industry, with a client list of over 100 online casinos.

Established in 1999, its first casino came online in 2001, and today Playtech also provides poker, bingo, live gaming and video terminal solutions. Indeed the Live Dealer games provided by Playtech are some of the best in iGaming.

The Playtech Casino Software platform currently features over 500 games. The standard blackjack, roulette and blackjack table games can be found, in addition to exclusive table games such as Blackjack Switch and Wild Viking.

It also has a wide range of slots, including some of my personal favourites such as the  Gladiator Slots, the first licensed theme slot in the Playtech stable.

Playtech is also behind the development of the Marvel-themed slots and other great slot games such as Great Blue, another favourite of mine.

IGT

IGT

Land based slot machine manufacturer IGT are responsible for some of the most popular slot games in existence. Ranging from the Egyptian themed Cleopatra Slots to the 40 payline Wolf Run Slot and it’s several clones.

IGT has been in operation since the early 1950’s but it is was only when the company went public back in 1981 that they started to become known on a global scale.

IGT were also the first casino software company to introduce a wide area progressive jackpot system running across many land based casinos simultaneously.

The number of slot games developed by IGT is now in excess of 100. As well as producing great innovative games, IGT have also stuck close to their core roots.  Producing game cabinets and systems for land based operators.

Real Time Gaming – RTG

Real Time Gaming

Realtime Gaming provides casino software to a large number of online casino operators, making it one of the most popular casino software platforms on the Net.

Although it has to be said, RTG’s games are nowhere near as cutting edge as the other casino software companies we cover here on EasyPlay.Vegas.

Established in 1999, Realtime Gaming now powers more than 100 online casinos and includes some of the online gambling industry’s most respected names amongst their client list.

Realtime Gaming’s software platform features over 120 games, including over 20 table games, more than 70 slots, and 30+ video poker variations.

Included in the games offered by RTG are 12 different progressive table, slots and video poker games.

All of the casinos which we recommend here on EasyPlay.Vegas that currently accept players from the US operate on and utilise software provided by Real Time Gaming.

WMS

WMS

Like IGT, WMS’s background comes from the land based casino industry, where WMS have been responsible for providing casinos with numerous games and more recently cutting edge slot machines.

The first online casino to feature games developed by WMS was the WMS owned Jackpot Party Casino which since it’s launch at the end of 2010 has proven to be a big hit with players. Jackpot Party now of course known as Slots Magic.

I have met some of the senior management behind WMS’s online operations and have to thank them for allowing us to showcase several of their games here in free play mode.

Games which include the popular Zeus Slot, Bruce Lee and Wizard of Oz.

WMS’s history goes all the way back to 1943, when they devised the mechanism for pinball machines. They adapted their business in the early 1990’s to enter the casino market, which is now the core of their business.

Cryptologic

Cryptologic

Crytpologic used to be a big player in the online casino market, with their software being utilised by some of the bigger online casinos, particularly at the start of the last decade.

Unfortunately they have been unable to keep with the fast moving pace of the industry and have seen all their leading clients move on to pastures new.

The biggest blow to Cryptologic was when UK giant William Hill signed a deal with Playtech, this ending their long standing relationship with the software company.

More recently Virgin Games have dropped all the casino games provided by Cryptologic after they were bought by Gamesys in January 2013.

As a result of this move, there are currently no casinos which we recommend on EasyPlay.Vegas that number games produced by Cryptologic in their roster. A shame!
