Australia Gambling Legislation, Age of the Gods and More

April 2017 continues to be a busy month for us here at EasyPlay.Vegas and the iGaming world in general. This video blog dated 15th April 2017 released in time for the Easter weekend covers the latest developments from Australia.

Unfortunately the news coming out of Australia for online casino players is not good. With the announcement from 32Red that they will be closing all accounts from  their Australian players. This announcement comes swiftly after 32Red initially announced that they would no longer be accepting new accounts from Australian residents.

This decision from 32Red is no doubt as a result of their imminent takeover by Kindred plc who own and operate the popular Unibet brand. However, as Australia has taken a tough stance against Online Gambling recently, it is feared that other brands will follow 32Red’s move.

Indeed we at EasyPlay.Vegas have heard very strong rumours that all Microgaming Casino Operators are likely to follow suit and exit the Australian Market.

Moving on to better news and certainly as far as fans of online slot games goes, we can confirm we have started to bolster the roster of online slots available to play for free on the site. The first such game being the superb Age of the Gods from Playtech.

Not only is Age of the Gods a 20 payline, 5 reel slot, featuring slick graphics and sound effects. It also can be played in progressive mode. Thus, offering players a chance of winning a truly life changing sum of money.

Age of the Gods is the first of several slots which are planned to be added to EasyPlay.Vegas, thus replacing the numerous Marvel Games which were discontinued by Playtech at the end of March 2017.

Finally the dark side of iGaming is covered. It seems that EasyPlay.Vegas has made an enemy of the rogue casino group that is Affpower, the casino group caught pirating games from Net Ent among others.

Not only has EasyPlay.Vegas been the recipient of a Distributed Denial of Service attack in recent weeks, but it has now come to our attention our entire site has been scraped. Which on it’s own would just be par for the course for operating a website. However, the content has been used to populate the content of the onlinecasinoreviewer.download domain.

Yep, someone has registered the .download variant of the EasyPlay.Vegas domain name and used OUR content to populate the site. But it doesn’t stop there. As each and every page is thus cloaked so you me or any other visitor to the domain does not see our content. Instead you are redirected to a shitty online casino owned and operated by the AffPower Group.

Not only is this theft of copyright it is also gaming the search engines by using cloaking techniques and also a form of ‘Negative Seo’ against EasyPlay.Vegas. As the .download site content ( ie OUR content ) which is cloaked and only shown to the search engine bots, links to all the pages found right here on EasyPlay.Vegas.

No worries as the necessary course of action is being taken by us, which I plan to document and provide as a resource to the casino webmasters amongst our visitors. This action has also ensured each and every online casino associated with the AffPower Group will have shortly, their own dedicated space on the blacklist pages on OCR.
