Good, Bad and Ugly of Online Casinos

The Good, The Bad & The Ugly of Online Casinos

Summer has finally arrived, what with it being the 1st June 2017 and I have to say I am feeling much better, since my last video blog which I recorded on the 15th May 2017.

But that is not surprising considering the subject matter was concerning ‘Negative Seo‘ and our very own experience with it here at EasyPlay.Vegas.

For those that follow us on any of our social media channels, whether it be Twitter, Facebook or Youtube ( Links are at the top right if you are not already following ), you will realise that Karma Week has been in play. What is Karma week exactly? Well ask our friends at AffPower?

Talking about AffPower, seems like OCR are not the only ones hacked off with those chumps from Tel Aviv, as the site AffPower.co.uk has come into being. Makes an interesting read too, hence it would have been rude of us not to link out to it on this very page :-).

Incidentally the AffPower crew have been getting quite a bit of exposure in the iGaming world, with several portals documenting the problems we at EasyPlay.Vegas have had with them recently. In addition to this, JTodd from the APCW dedicated the first few minutes of his 26th May APCW Perspectives show solely to AffPower. I suppose there is no thing as bad publicity though, is there?

Moving on from the trials and tribulations of Karma Week that AffPower have been enduring, I also talk about the good concerning online casinos and the iGaming Industry. With quality informative casino portals such as CasinoMeister and Fast Paying Casinos getting worthy mentions. If you haven’t already, make sure you check them out, that is of course after you have watched this video blog below!

After spending the last week of May updating our ever growing and extensive casino blacklist here on OCR, I unfortunately came across the down right ugly as far as the online casino and iGaming Industry goes.

Whilst researching information on CashPot Casino ( One of AffPower’s Casinos ), I saw that the site Ask Gamblers had provided CashPot with a shiny red ‘Certificate of Trust’ Seal. You see this is a big problem as far as I am concerned. Ask Gamblers which was acquired by Catena Media for a staggering €15M in 2016, professes to be the number one trustworthy casino portal on the internet.

Then why the heck is CashPot the recipient of a gushing review and a shiny seal? They are not the only such property from AffPower and other rogues who get virtual high fives from Ask Gamblers.

Instead of using their position and visibility in google for the greater good of the iGaming industry. It seems that Ask Gamblers and their owners at Catena Media will list any casino property with favourable reviews as long as the price is right.

The fact they couldn’t even be bothered to answer my emails and only send me a couple of arrogant talk to the hand tweets about this matter is further indication that money is the prime mover for Catena Media. So there you have it players, if I were you I would take everything printed on the Ask Gamblers website with a massive helping of salt.

Until next time, be lucky. Dave

Update: 9th August 2017 – We have been in discussion with AskGamblers and as from Friday 4th August, AskGamblers have terminated their relationship with AffPower. Moving forward OCR and Catena / AskGamblers have a line of communication established.
