888 UKGC Go Wild Sky Bet and More
Our first video blog of Autumn 2017 and lots of news is to be had concerning the iGaming Industry.
Recorded on the 4th September 2017 and uploaded to our YouTube Channel on the same day, due to how busy this week has been, it has taken five days to get our Vlog Post up.
888 Receive Record Fine from UKGC
Last week online casino and sports betting behemoth, got a massive punch in the stomach from the United Kingdom Gambling Commission, who fined the Gibraltar based operation a record £7.8 Million.
The UKGC found after a investigation that began earlier this year that 888 somehow managed to allow some 3000 odd ‘self excluded’ players to sign up at a number of the numerous ‘white labels’ they operate.
Was this a technical failing or was it more of a blind eye being turned by the executives at 888. After all 888 are not exactly covered in glory when it comes to player complaints. Regardless, this is great news and now gives 888 a mighty kick to get their house in order when it comes to supporting Responsible Gambling.
Indeed some eleven years ago, we spoke out about 888’s Ethics when it came to the online marketing of their casino portfolio.
Sarah and the UKGC, we at EasyPlay.Vegas applaud and salute you. Hopefully this proves to be a timely and costly warning to other operators who do not take seriously their policy to supporting responsible gambling.
As a result of the above information, we feel compelled to add 888 to our Casino Blacklist. Keep an eye on our social media accounts to find out when this occurs.
Go Wild Fall From Grace
Another soon to be added addition to the Rogue Casino pages here on EasyPlay.Vegas is the Microgaming powered Go Wild Casino.
Player Watchdog and Advocate Casinomeister has rogued Go Wild Casino due to a player not being paid out for changing his bet size during playing at the casino. You could possibly agree with this if a casino bonus was in play, but alas the player was only using loyalty points.
This is in our opinion ridiculous and hopefully management at Go Wild Casino will see the error of their ways and revisit this decision.
Affiliate Edge Revisited
Also covered is Affiliate Edge again and the current campaign EasyPlay.Vegas is undertaking to get paid the £4940.30 that they owe us. If payment is not received by the end of September 2017, we will be taking them to court. Subscribe to the EasyPlay.Vegas YouTube Channel for updates!
Sky Bet Invoke FU Clause
More bad news for casino affiliates and this time this is thanks to Sky Bet. They have sent a communication to all their affiliates informing them that their Affiliate Hub Program will cease to trade come 2nd October 2017. This has quite rightly outraged numerous affiliates who have collectively sent Sky Bet and their brethren thousands of players over the years.
Check out this thread over on the GPWA Forum and join in the discussion there if you have been affected.
As per usual people, stay away from them rogues and most of all, be lucky!
